Ringer fan JL found something sweet in his National Geographic December 2000 issue featuring a photographic essay of New Zealand’s Fiordland area:
“… Trails lush with ferns and mosses evoke author J.R.R. Tolkien’s mythical forests, where ’shadows lay by night and day, and dark things silent crept beneath.’ “
