A few days ago we mentioned that one of the silver-grey andalusian horses playing Shadowfax had had to retire. I described the breed quite wrongly, as it turns out, and a number of people have taken me to task over it. It goes without saying that a film project of this size and grandeur would have to have re-shoots; a lot of films do, and most of the time it is fitted into the schedule. So when will PJ et al get back together again for some additional re-shoots? Read below…

Coincidentally I’ve been hanging out … with a guy who’s spent the last few months as a stunt rider in New Zealand, mostly the Rohan scenes and the Battle of the Pellenor Fields.

He mentioned that there will be more Rohan scenes shot early next year and that possibly Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn) will be back for them.
