Sometimes LOTR info has an odd way of getting to me. My sis (Darth Sis) came home a few nights ago after going out to see a film. Upon entering my TheOneRing.net domain she began to recount in nauseating detail the events of her evening, I then snapped at her ‘I’m busy!’ (ah, to be the younger brother), so naturally she threw her magazine she picked up at the cinema and stormed out.

The magazine is ‘Famous’, the free mag they hand out at most local cinemas. It has news and reviews and photos. Just now I was poking through it while my emails loaded, and what did I see? This article:

On the Slate

Lord of the Rings: If all is on schedule, filming for The Two Towers, the first installment of director Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy, should be under way in New Zealand (I did say this was a FREE mag right?..no money for research I guess…-Xo). The epic translation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s tale is expected to take an epic mount of time to shoot, which has scared off a number of actors who would have otherwise been interested. Count Sean Connery and Kate Winslet among the talent who just couldn’t commit. But have no fear, there are still some quality names associated with the project. Ian Holm (above) will play Bilbo Baggins, Ian McKellan will play Gandalf, Elijah Wood will play Frodo Baggins, Ethan Hawke will play Faramir and Liv Tyler will play Arwen.

Thanks to Darth Sis for the Info!
