According to one source, the atrocious weather in Queenstown has done more than just hold up filming. One of the sets – we don’t know which one – has been washed away, which is a tragic waste of good work.
It’s a pity the landscape is one ‘star’ you can’t fire when it gets too uppity.
It’s such a shame to think of all things getting messed up like that. On the other hand, it’s fun to imagine how there might be bits of Meduseld caught up on farm gates in the most incongruous places, or pieces of Gondor washed up on the banks downstream. It would be great if little pieces of Middle-earth were left scattered around for people to find unexpectedly.
