well it looks like our favorite rumor has died once and for all. TheOnering.net placed a call with Sean Connery’s agent in LA. After asking if Sean is still interested in a smaller role in LOTR:

‘To be honest they never came back with any other offers’

And I asked if Sean was interested in pursuing any particular role:

‘After he turned down the Gandalf thing it was dead’

So there you go.
