Frost's Nightmare
The road not taken is a tortured affair
bringing forth foreign thoughts
Examining and exploring all that I do
seeing both mistakes and genius
Not becoming a business major
has continued to haunt me daily
Inducing nightmares of a straight jacket
with the front of a tuxedo painted on it
And then the dream changes
I become a woman in a kitchen
The robe I'm wearing is tattered
and my husband beats me
But I still love him and care
and think of the life I left for him
Do I even make the choice
of the road taken or is it illusion
And would I have a job even if I was a business major
Does that road even exist or is it for someone else
Should I even care
or should I blindly succumb to the image
Of what others wish me to be
