I had no idea what to expect for movie two, I have to say the whole time I was watching the film I was on the edge of my seat, The first scene seemed a bit strange as it seemed it should've been in the first film and not the second but after changing scenes and showing the subtitle "A few months later" it made sense. I loved the intensity of the film and how much darker it becomes especially when Gandalf learns the Necocramer is indeed Sauron. Loved Beorn and at first when he mentioned he hated dwarves that, surprised me but then it came back to me that was indeed true to the book. As for Azog attacking Beron's people I don't recall that detail but its possible it was mentioned, and I over looked it. After remembering he was not fond of dwarves, but hated orcs, I grew fonder and fonder of his character. I loved the voice of Smaug, I thought it was incredibly true to the book it would've been interesting to hear Christopher Lee voice him, but I love Benedict Cumberbatch nonetheless. I think if Lee had seen what work had to go into making Smaug he would've refused the part. The finding of the door to the mountain was something that was of large interest to me and when I saw that scene, the only thing I don't recall is the dwarves leaving but it brought back to my memory what Lord Elrond said that the key whole would only appear on the last light of the moon. Though Tolkien wrote as the sun and moon in the sky together. Overall I thought the movie was extremely well done and I cannot wait for There and Back Again, I will for sure watch the first two movies over and over! I give the movie 5 stars!
