The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. December 13, 2013. A prologue has started the movie again, just like 'An Unexpected Journey.' Well, this also gave me infos that I should know to continuously go with the story's flow. Thumbs up for that. Just like what the others say, Beorn appeared too brief. He was one of the characters that I would like to know more visually aside from reading the book. But still, thumbs up for him, his appearance, and house. All of the places featured in this movie were near to what I've imagined them to be. Woodland Realm. Mirkwood. Elvenking's Domain. LAKETOWN. Erebor. Almost everybody loved Laketown. It's exactly what I would want it to be. The characters acted and played great. Of course, our burglar showed his other side, adventurous. SMAUG, oh, Smaug! He was brilliant! The eyes, the scaly covering, the fire. Stupendous! 'The Desolation of Smaug' bothered me because of so many questions popping our from my head and this was great for a movie. Does Bilbo got the Arkenstone? What will happen to Gandalf? Will the Dwarves be reunited? What will happen to Tauriel and Legolas? and other questions. All in all, this movie uplifted my mood and made me expect and aim that the final installment will be great as it could be.
