Film Format Seen? 3D 48 fps

As far as comparing this movie to the others, it is very hard to do. In my opinion, this movie is unlike any other from middle earth. The pace is faster, but the biggest change was the ending, by straying from the book, and the perceived ending of this movie.(I was quite alright with all the changes in the movie) When the screen turned dark I was left clambering for more. Before I realized it, I was actually screaming!
Still on the ending, I was disappointed, and amazed. Everything about Smaug WAS STUPENDOUS!! The enormity, voice, and stature really came together for the perfect 'fire drake from the north'. I especially liked the direction they took for the score... Very sneeky. Unlike some, I ended up absolutely loving the end battle but one aspect TOTALY took me out of it...and that was the molten gold. It really lacked texture, and ended up extremely fake.
This brings me to the format of the movie. I saw it in 3D HFR. I don't usually see movies in 3D and this was the first HFR I had ever seen. I didn't like it. In the Bree scene(the first scene) I was truly in awe. The clarity, the precision, the detail. It may not have worked the best but DOS taught me I can learn to love it. The one charactor that I think 48 frames brought out was AZOG the defiler. I thought he looked awesome in all his shots which were wicked. SOURON IS BACK AND HE MEANS BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
