I absolutely loved "The Hobbit." It was well worth the long wait. I am just happy that it was directed by Peter Jackson; no one could have done it better than Peter and Weta. "The Hobbit" is exceptional from beginning to end. It is well casted. I am a big fan of Richard Armitage and was thrilled when I learned he would be playing Thorin Oakenshield. He was fantastic, of course. I was also very excited to discover that Dean O'Gorman would be in it playing Fili; he was my favorite on "Young Hercules." And, of course, Martin Freeman was excellent as Bilbo. They could not have made a better choice. The entire ensemble cast was brilliant and did an exceptional job. The landscape was breathtaking and spectacular. The music was inspiring and epic; brilliant job by the exceptionally talented Howard Shore. I was particularly excited to hear Richard sing. The movie was brilliant and exceptional all around: the costumes, makeup, cinematography, screenplay, acting, etc. I look forward to seeing it many more times and will patiently anticipate the next movie. Well done! If I could give the movie 10 rings, I would. The entire cast and crew outdid themselves with "The Hobbit" and thank them for their talent and hardwork.
