I watched the movie on the midnight premiere and it was like two gifts at once. First of all, it actually was my birthday present and it also felt like an early Christmas present. I was extremely pleased with the movie and that that Peter Jackson and the crew did a fantastic job. It was great seeing familiar faces like Ian Mckellan, Elijah Wood, and Ian Holm. I was somewhat worried about how Martin Freeman would play Bilbo, but I thought he did an amazing job. All in all, I think it was a great movie.
