I won't go into too much detail because I feel like what I would say has already been said several times. But I'm so glad they let 'The Hobbit' be 'The Hobbit'. Even with the additional material from the appendices that added a little more weight to the story, it was able to have a distinct tone from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The cast was great, and the film had an overall sense of adventure and fun that was hard not to fall in love with.
