I will start off by saying i felt ripped off...this is not the hobbit i read over 35 years ago as a child ...it was a lot of over production unecessary special effects and the creative liscence on the characters was just sad really the new technology was amazing to see such depth but really the story was butchered and added in ways that really didnt add to the story they seemed unanatural and away from the orginal story,...hate to say it but seems peter has mucked this story up ... I was leary when i first heard it would be 3 parts ... it is obvious they butchered the original put alot of unecessary fill in to make 3 movies so they could get as much money possible out of the story.....really pathetic when you look at the animated version and it is wayyyyyyyy better than this ....that was done ages ago they did the best they could and did a brilliant job ....so how is it that the director of lotr has a decade almost since they came out does such a bad job on this ??????? saddened and disgusted they sold out totally ruined a great story so they could split itin 3 parts and triple their money
