The Hobbit does a great job of expanding on its source material. Most changes from the book tended to help with character and plot development. At first I was wary that there would be three films, but after seeing this one I am convinced that it was a good decision. The film itself is absolutely beautiful, and I definitely plan on seeing it again in 3D 48 fps.
