I thought it was amazing. Didn't find it slow at all, great way to build up to the next two films and LOTR. Loved how they included appendices and extra notes of Tolkien.

Pretty disappointing to see how some people compare it to LOTR, probably never read the books. I thought it was a great adaption.

Amazing acting and directing. My favourites were Martin Freeman, Sylvester McCoy and of course, Sir Ian McKellen. :)
