Loved it. Bilbo/Thorin/Gandalf nailed it. Thorin used "whence" correctly (unlike Elrond in FOTR), extra points. The battle scenes were a bit much, though. The entire storm giant scene could have been eliminated (or very much reduced). Too many falls-down-great-chasms with nary a scratch to be seen. Tighter editing would have been better, I fear. What can possibly be left for an extended release?

The music was spot on, and overall I'm still thrilled. How wonderful to be back in Middle Earth.
