I have been waiting since I read the books when I was 7 for this movie, and I was not disappointed in the least! Having loved the original trilogy of movies, I was worried that The Hobbit would be too different from them, but it was perfect in its balance of similarity and new things. Just close enough to be a part of the Lord of the Rings, but just different enough that it's not a carbon copy - it's its own individual movie! So, so wonderful!
