This movie was awesome. Period. Ignore the critics- they dont have a clue of what theyre talking about ( which is showcased in the high audience ratings). Truly a great film- hilarious, intensely exciting, fun, charming, intriuging, at times scary and at times truly moving, it is all around entertaining, and it really captures the greatness of the book.
Some highlights for me were:
-The flash back of the Battle of Azanulbizar. One word: EPIC
- The troll scene (hilarious and exciting and clever. Basically a perfect rendition of that beloved scene from the book!!)
- The acting. BIG highlight, mind you. All the actors, even the very minor ones, played their parts to perfection.
- Goblin town. Fantastic, and at times truly creepy. The Goblin King stole the show.
-The score. Simply incredible, it matches the characters or locations so beautifully. Some highlights for the score are the intro to goblin town (its so terrifying when they first get to that big underground city filled with goblins and that goblin theme blares!) and the dwarves misty mountains theme, which may very well be the greatest theme ever
-The action. Really fun and exhilerating!!
-Any scene Bofur is in
-Any scene Dori is in
- Basically everything was a highlight, come to think of it.

Im off to my third viewing in four days!! I cant wait!!!!!!!
