The first time I saw the movie was at the Midnight Premiere, and again the next day, both times I was equally pleased with the casting, effects, just everything! Martin never ceases to amaze me in any role he plays. I was especially pleased with the actors chose to portray Kili, Fili, and Thorin. (Aidan Turner, Dean O'Gorman, and Richard Armitage.) They did especially well in the first of the 3 movies, and I absolutely cannot wait to see more of them. Peter Jackson is a genius and has yet again wowed me in so many ways. A special part of this was that he used the index from LOTR to add in extra bits in pieces. It made for an even nicer storyline. The only downside in this whole movie was that some things were taken out and/or changed from the original plot of the book. Now I know you can't always be strictly by the book, but, the things missing were pretty noticeable. Otherwise, the movie was outstanding!
