An overall excellent film interpretation of The Hobbit book, taking the tone a little higher and darker than the children's story. Super acting, especially by Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis. The Riddles in the Dark scene did not disappoint diehard book fans. It's fun to watch Gandalf in a quieter more peaceful time. When Bilbo is amazed at his first sight of RIvendell, I wished that was also our first time seeing it. Too bad they couldn't make The Hobbit before LOTR.
