I consider myself a purist when it comes to Tolkien's work. While I enjoyed the LOTR, I was disappointed with some of the changes Peter Jackson had made to the story. However with the Hobbit, I was very pleased with his version of the Hobbit. Any of the changes he made were still very much in the spirit that Tolkien expressed in the Hobbit. I am looking forward to seeing it again. The scenes showing Hobbiton and Rivendell were just breathtaking. I could go on and on, the movie really captured the essence of Tolkien's vision of middle earth.
