I was really exctited to see the Hobbit - an unexpected Journey and have been anticipating it for ever since I heard it was to come out- which seems ages ago now. I thought that certain parts of the film were drifting too far away from Tolkiens story, for example Radagast was like a cartoon charakter. I didn't see the wisdom of the Istari resembled in him. Also the part where the Rabbits pull his sleigh- type thingy was a bit absured. The fat goblin chief's voice wasn't orkisch enough, in my opinion anyway. The music was outstanding and extremely moving. Seeing the scenery of Middle- earth was wonderful. It beeing 3D was definitely an advantage when it came to hights, and the rocks being thrown about. When Bilbo hung from the cliff, I was practically on the edge of my seat. The Film was great, except I wish the absurdness and forced comedy would be left out. So excited to see the next part(s) ! Thank god !
