The first thing that grab my attention while watching the Hobbit was the 48fps – everything looked new and strange but I liked it . Some of you might prefer a movie to be more “mysterious” and “distant” but I did enjoy the new technology because it made the experience slightly different from the usual one. I felt like there is really a whole in the screen and on the other side is Bag End ! I don’t think the movie looked fake or that the effects looked cheap – not at all ! It just looks REAL ! In any case , I forgot about the technology soon enough . The movie takes some time to drive you into the story but I didn’t find it slow or dragging. It was finished before I knew it . I think the story and the characters are growing on you little by little and by the end of the movie you can only called the Hobbit : An unexpected journey an “ amazing experience “ .It is beautiful and magical. Some scenes will really make you freeze in your seat and just watch with wide open eyes. Not only because of the special effects or the beautiful scenery but also because of the amazing job the actors did in giving live to their characters. Yes , The Hobbit is less dark than the LOTR and it has a different rhythm of story telling but it is a very good movie . I feel like some people use “dark” and “serious” as synonyms of “interesting” . Well , not in my dictionary . I liked the fact that there were some humor in the story and that it keeps the adventurous spirit of the book . I think this movie is " just the beginning ". I assume next two movies will really take the story to a new level ! I can’t wait to see the movie again ! I think I need to watch it at least 2 more times to enjoy all the little details in it ! I haven't felt so emotionally moved by a movie for a long time . You must see it ! I am sure that there will be at least 2-3 scenes in it that you would absolutely love . ;)
