After a long 9 year wait, I was pleased to see what the great writing trio would do with The Hobbit. I was pleased with the beginning, and overall flow of this linear story. I honestly thought it would begin with Gandalf receiving the key from Thrain. Perhaps well see this in the next movie or extended edition. Not sure about the "secret passage" to Rivendell, however. The inclusion of Azog is a great addition, as is Radagast. The characterization is brilliant, and I look forward to seeing more of the dwarves in the next film. I was actually surprised when it ended - I could've watched for at least another hour...
