Well, of all countries it's got to be the small Iceland :) In 18 days(it premiered on the 26th Dec) over 60.000 people have seen LOTR and thats an ENOURMOUSLY much considering that iceland's population is only 280.000 people :)

Basically, this means that over 20% of iceland has seen it(of course some people have seen it twice or more but still- :>)

I personally dont think any other country in the world will be able to beat this. The film is already the 3th highest grossing ever in iceland and many suspect it'll take the top place from Titanic later on.
