LOTR Student Planner Scans - Calisuri @ 04:27 PST
As some of you may or may not know, I have been out of commission for a good month now with a move across America. So when the Cedco Publishing Company's 2001-2002 Lord of the Rings Student Planner came out, I really didn't get a chance to take a good look at it. Now that I'm a little bit more settled I bought a copy at the local B&N and was amazed to see some great pictures. While I'm sure the majority of you have seen these, I wanted to share some hi-res versions for your viewing pleasure.

The scans are not better then the real thing. Both the Cedco website (http://www.cedco.com) and Amazon.com (click here) have the planner for cheaper then you can find in the stores.

As you can see, there are some really great images. One thing stuck in my mind though. Shouldn't this planner be coming out NEXT summer...when the movie has already been released? When minions of teenagers would be lusting after everything LOTR related? These images will really mean nothing to most of the 13 year old student market when not attached to a currently released film.(I don't mean that teenagers don't read Tolkien. I mean that the majority of teenagers are highly dependent on the media for the latest 'hot thing.' Our teenage viewers of the site and readers of Tolkien don't fall into this category.)
