Sideshow will be out in force at the Star Wars Celebration IV convention, which began today and runs through Monday, May 28th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. If you are lucky enough to be attending the show, you can find us at Booth #410, and don't forget to join us for our panel at 2:30 on Saturday, May 26th! Additionally, Lorne Peterson, master model-maker for ILM and author of the amazing 'Sculpting the Galaxy', will be on-hand in our booth during the con (please see the Ministry section of this newsletter for his schedule). Our online CIV audience will also be entertained by new product announcements, contests and giveaways, photo galleries and live webcams from the floor, special discounts and Second Chance opportunities, a Star Wars themed Ask Sideshow Q&A, and much more! Sideshow Collectibles would like to wish all of our U.S. based collectors a safe and happy Memorial Day. We would like to remind everyone that our Customer Service department will be closed Monday, May 28th in observance of this U.S. holiday. We are giving you a week's respite from Comic-Con Exclusive Priority Pre-Orders due to the Star Wars Celebration IV festivities... aren't we nice? But don't forget to get back in the Comic-Con mood NEXT week, because Medicom's Black Hole Stormtrooper VCD figure will be Priority Pre-Ordering for Attendees of the con at 10 AM (PT) on Thursday, May 31st, while Non-Attendees will get their shot at 10 AM (PT) on Friday, June 1st. At the 2006 San Diego Comic-Con, Sideshow was excited to host Lorne Peterson, one of the founding members of Industrial Light and Magic (and author of 'Sculpting a Galaxy') at our booth. We are happy to welcome him back for Star Wars Celebration IV, where he will take some time at the Sideshow booth to sign books and answer fan questions! We would also like to extend the opportunity to quiz this master of models to our online audience.
