The Tarzan Collection Starring Johnny Weissmuller, Vol. 2: The final six features in the 12-film series starring Olympic gold medal swimmer Johnny Weissmuller as the quintessential screen Tarzan. His natural athleticism, his lean, lithe grace and easy physicality, the and naiveté and sincerity of his untrained performance style made his interpretation the one the fans embraced (even if it is not the character as envisioned by creator Edgar Rice Burroughs). At the beginning of his vendetta, V rescues Evey (Natalie Portman) from a group of police officers and has her live with him in his underworld lair. It is through their relationship where we learn how V became V, the extremities of the party's corruption, the problems of an oppressive government, V's revenge plot, and his philosophy on how to induce change.

The Exodus Decoded (History Channel): Exodus Decoded is a documentary created by Jewish Canadian filmmaker Simcha Jacobovici, in which new evidence in favor of the historicity of the Biblical Exodus is explored. The Films of James Broughton: For the first time on DVD, the best films of avant-garde pioneer James Broughton have been assembled for this magnificent three-disc set. A poet, author, and filmmaker, Broughton, who was christened the "great and wise master of the American avant-garde" by critic Amos Vogel, attempted to use cinema as kind of poetic statement. He took as his subject matter love, sex, the human body, and dream imagery, rendered with a playful, whimsical, and sometimes erotic touch. Featuring such seminal titles as MOTHER’S DAY (1948), DREAMWOOD (1972), and TESTAMENT(1974), this three-disc set organizes 17 of Broughton’s films into three distinct eras to capture the breadth and evolution of his themes and subject matter. Disc 1: THE EARLY YEARS Disc 1: THE EARLY YEARSBroughton’s first films focused on the themes of romantic love and human behavior. A highlight in this collection includes THE PLEASURE GARDEN, which was named Best Fantastic-Poetic Film at the Cannes Film Festival. Whoever Says the Truth Shall Die: In 1975, controversial Italian filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini (ACCATONE,THE DECAMERON, SALO) was brutally murdered by Pino the Frog, a seventeen year-old male prostitute who claimed self-defense. Pasolini, an avowed Marxist and open homosexual as well as an outspoken critic of Italy’s consumer culture and rampant political corruption, was admired by artists and intellectuals but reviled by conservative authorities.
