TORn friend Irascian reports: The BBC’s 13 hour radio dramatization of “The Lord of the Rings”, adapted by Brian Sibley and starring Ian Holm as Frodo, has just been reissued in a special “Ring” tinned “Collector’s Edition”. Photos can be found HERE.

The CDs are basically the same set issued last year (ie with new intro/outro recordings to each book made by Ian Holm’s Frodo as he writes “The Red Book”) but also includes a special brand-new and exclusive documentary CD with cast, crew, and assorted Tolkien luminaries discussing the recording and impact of the radio series, and contrasting the success it had with that of the recent Peter Jackson movies.
