Tolkien's little place in Oxford

In November 1918, J.R.R. Tolkien was 27 and had just returned to Oxford from active service in the First World War. He had landed a job as an assistant lexicographer at the Oxford English Dictionary and needed rooms nearby to rent for himself, his wife and his baby son.
