Box Office: 'Lord of the Rings' Eclipses 'Return of the Jedi'

'Fellowship of the Ring' has just recently reached a new milestone, surpassing 'Return of the Jedi' to become the ninth highest grossing movie of all time. The epic fantasy surpassed the epic fantasy on Saturday, May 11, its 144th day of release. After three theatrical releases, Episode VI of George Lucas' Star Wars franchise grossed $309,306,177 in its lifetime. [More]
